  • Early introduction helps strengthen oral muscles by encouraging natural sipping, which activates the lips, jaw, tongue, and cheeks—essential for speech, chewing, and safe swallowing
  • Promotes proper swallowing by introducing babies to free-flowimng liquids. This helps babies develop mature swallowing patterns, reducing the risk of choking and supporting feeding safety
  • Practicing with open cups enhances sensory exposure, which can reduce early food aversions and make babies more open to new textures and tastes. This can minimise picky eating
  • Sippit help babies practice hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they learn to lift, tilt, and control the cup themselves, developing confidence and independence
  • Develops and supports healthy long-term habits. Starting with open cups avoids prolonged reliance on spouted or straw cups, which can hinder oral development if used for too long

Why Sippit?

We designed the Sippit open cup to help babies transition smoothly from breast and bottle-feeding to independent drinking. Experts recommend introducing an open cup at 6 months to support oral and motor skill development, but many first cups with spouts can delay muscle development and lead to picky eating.

Most baby training cups are too large for little ones. With a 35ml capacity, the Sippit is perfectly sized for little hands, allowing babies to practice their motor skills without worrying about huge spills. Its ergonomic grooves, weighted base, and grippy nodules make it easy to handle and manage liquids.

Designed to work alongside Dotty the Dinosaur, the Sippit strengthens mouth muscles, improving lip, jaw, and tongue coordination for safer, independent eating. Sippit is the perfect first open cup - supporting healthy habits, fostering development, and giving parents peace of mind during a crucial stage in their child’s growth.

Experts recommend introducing open-cup drinking from around 6 months to support healthy oral and motor development. Unlike spouted cups, open cups encourage natural sipping, which helps strengthen the mouth muscles essential for chewing, swallowing, and speech.

Introducing an open cup like Sippit early can help make the transition to solids smoother and also develop hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and control.

I love this cup. It’s the perfect size for tiny hands and the weight of it means it’s not easily knocked over, unless on purpose!

My little girl loves this cup, she has just started on solids now that she is 6 months. It is so easy for her to hold and she looks so cute with it! Thank you.

The Sippit cup has been amazing for the transition from sippy Cup to an open cup! Very light weight and easy for her to control

We love our cup, Rue does so well with using it and very quickly adapted to using it with no spillage! We are so impressed.

Little one got the hang of it so quick I can’t believe how quickly little one got to grips with this cup and was able to drink from it spillage free with two hands and then within minutes using just one hand. Amazing!

THE BEST!!! We absolutely love these and my 7 month old boy gets SO excited when he sees them! More excited than any toy or person. They’re weighted at the bottom and small and grippy enough for small hands to hold!!! We absolutely love them and they are now a must have wherever we are

Must have! I absolutely love these cups they are super easy for baby to hold weighted so harder to spill and by 12 months we can drink from any cup

Perfect I absolutely love them. Perfect size for so tiny hands

Just great! I love these cups, but more importantly, my twins do. The first time they’ve held an open cup and they knew what to do straight away, they’re the perfect size and shape for little hands and also have a weighted bottom which is a bonus!

Amazing! My son and I love these new Sippit cups! Not only are they gorgeous to look at, but they are also practical for little hands. They are hard to tip over yet easy to drink from. I would highly recommend them to every mum!

Amazing cup Both me and my daughter love the sippit cup. The non slip silicon is grate for little hands , along with the weighted bottom to reduce spillages. It’s a great learning cup for all babies transitioning.

Great introduction to open cups These cups are great - they've really started to help my boys get used to drinking from an open cup & improved over the first couple of days! The look and feel of the cups are great too.

Great for learning The sippit is great for allowing little ones to learn how to use an open cup the ridges allow it to be easily gripped and the fact it is silicon means it doesn’t slip out their hand easily it’s a good weight so they also don’t tip it all at once

Sippit cup is just fab! I am obsessed with this sippit cup, it has allowed my little 9 month old to independently be able to drink from an open cup! He is able to grip and pick it up easily which is really good!

Super Sippit! My little one and I love the Sippit. It is the first thing she reaches for and uses at meal times. The Sippit cup is an ideal size and is lightweight making it easy for tiny hands to handle, promoting improved hand control and coordination. The textured surface also enhances grip, making it a user-friendly choice for babies transitioning to cups.

High quality and really good weight to it The sipit cup is perfect for tiny hands it has a really lovely weight to if so doesn’t knock over to easily even when it isn’t full of water. My little boy took to sipping from it quickly.

Perfect start for independent drinking! This is such a great size, and the weight of it means it’s difficult to tip over. My little one is enjoying being a bit more independent and drinking with her meals.

Perfect size for little hands The sippit cup is the perfect size for little hands to learn how to master open cup drinking! My LG is almost 3 and asks to use her cup at every meal time!

Perfect for little hands Our little girl loves her Sippit! It's the perfect size for her little hands and getting her used to drinking from an open cup.

Perfect! Perfect size open sip cup for my daughter to have independence when drinking! Great product

I don’t know why but she gets super excited drinking from this cup! It’s great for building skills, perfect size and if a spillage happens, it’s the smallest amount.

I like that the cups are weighed at the bottom so they aren't as easy to knock over. They feel nice in the hand, my little one is still learning to actually drink from them and not just dip his hands in though!

My 7 month old grandson loves using this feeding cup I would highly recommend this product

Brilliant! My wee one has loved this and is drinking much more easily , he wasn't a fan of the sippy cup, so glad to have found this

Great for tiny hands

Excellent quality, love how it’s weighted so it doesn’t spill easily . Good for a breastfeeding baby.

Lovely size and weight, my son can pick up himself which he is determined to do. They wash easily and look so cute.

My 41/2month old granddaughter found this just the right size to hold ( with support) and drink from. She is breast fed and has never taken a bottle so it was great to know she could drink from the cup as she is soon to start her weaning journey.

My son loves this little cup!
